Michele Bannister – MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Michele Bannister is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She gained her Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has both Primary Care and Orthopaedic experience. Prior to her career as a Nurse Practitioner, Michele gained a wealth of knowledge working as a Critical Care Nurse for over 13 yrs. Preceding her nursing career, Michele served as a helicopter mechanic in the Marine Corps.

 

Michele gravitated to the Orthopedics field due to her love for sports and the fulfillment of helping her patients lead active and full lives. As an active mom who participates in many sports and activities with her children, she has first hand knowledge and experience with the biomechanics of the body and sports medicine.

 

Michele loves spending time adventuring with her Sons. Some of her favorite activities are traveling, hiking, and playing beach volleyball and pickleball. Michele loves animals and has 6 of her own. “I may one day need a farm to accommodate more! I love being an advocate for healthy living, being as active as possible and living life to the fullest!”
